In December several conferences of CWT activists held in India

Several conferences of the International Public Movement’s activists were held in December 2016, in India. As noted by Chairman of the Board of CWT Aleksey Muratov, the movement is gaining momentum in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

According to Aleksey Muratov, a working meeting of Change the World Together leaders was held on December 17, where a strategy and work area were discussed as well as planning of upcoming events. ʺSuch meetings of local CWT leaders will be held in India regularly. It is possible to coordinate an activity of activists, who live in different cities,ʺ Aleksey Muratov said.

He also reported on another meeting in Mumbai, which was held on December 29. ʺThis is a very important event for Change the World Together, where our activists discussed an ideology of the movement once again and recruited new supporters into our ranks as well,ʺ Aleksey Muratov said.

Another major event was held in Karad on December 30. ʺFour key leaders of CWT in India came from Mumbai to hold this conference. More than 200 people came for the meeting, most of whom joined Change the World Together,ʺ Aleksey Muratov stated.

As explained by Chairman of the Board of CWT, such meeting will be actively held in Maharashtra. ʺIt is possible to boldly state that CWT movement is gaining momentum in the state of Maharashtra. The interest in financial technologies has increased after financial reform in the country. I am confident that this year will be a landmark for our movement in India,ʺ Aleksey Muratov expressed his confidence.

Microsoft has recently launched a new service called Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) for its customers in the country, which indicates the growing interest in fintech in India. ʺIndians can use blockchain through Microsoft’s BaaS programme to carry out bank transactions and other finance services as well as to take out insurance and services in health care,ʺ Aleksey Muratov said.

The major event in Karad, 200 people attended the meeting, many of them joined the movement, lunch, 4 leaders came from Mumbai to hold the conference. The movement is gaining momentum in Maharashtra.


In addition, there will be a transition to fully digital, biometric service payment system in India within a month. ʺThere are more than 10 million transactions carried out in biometric payment system daily in India. And thanks to the development of Aadhaar mobile application, which supports about 100 million biometric registrations every day and it will be increased to 400 million per day in the near future,ʺ Aleksey Muratov summed up.
